The Young Visiting Artists Program, under the direction of Dominick Farinacci is intended to connect the community and students and develop future audiences and artists for jazz.
Through the Young Visiting Artists Program, Tri-C will develop future generations of accomplished young musicians. This movement of young people engaged in Jazz and American Music will enrich our community by producing instrumentalists, vocalists, and songwriters. In the short-term, the motivation of high school students to pursue music studies will have a direct impact on their overall educational achievement. To that end, the Young Visiting Artists will:
• Perform and teach individuals of all ages about the contributions of jazz and the value of the arts
• Motivate young students through enthusiastic and innovative teaching
• Create a hot bed of young talent in Northeast Ohio
• Position Cuyahoga Community College as a center for jazz and American music in the region
