ArtGSWhether you want to use your artistic talents to become a visual artist or designer or are interested in a a career in arts management, education, arts therapy or as an art activities director, programs at Tri-C are designed to deliver both the practical and theoretical skills needed to succeed. The arts curriculum provides ample opportunities to explore visual studio arts, art history , art therapy and art education. As an aspiring artist, you can study painting, ceramics and sculpture, as well as design and drawing for success in business fields. You will learn to develop a portfolio to use for transfer to a four-year institution or to enter the job market. For those interested in becoming educators, you can select a path as an elementary art teacher or work in the field of art therapy. Twenty-first century graduates are increasingly required to be both multiskilled and capable of articulation their creative work. You will find a diversity of courses, workshops, and exhibition opportunities to help you realize your potential.

Students interested in Art can obtain an Associate of Arts degree at Tri-C. With a four year degree, you will be prepared for the following positions:

• Product designer

• Teacher
