About ArtsPrep
ArtsPrep Vision
Every student in the ArtsPrep program will be challenged to do their best by a faculty of highly qualified teaching artists. All ArtsPrep faculty will have a performance degree in the discipline they teach, or have a long time professional career of distinction. All instruction, regardless of the age or experience of our students, will be of a college level quality tailored specifically to the needs of our students.
Over the course of five years, the ArtsPrep program will evolve into its complete form. As students progress through the program, offerings will be added to accommodate their needs as they develop into more advanced craftsmen in their disciplines. At any point in this evolution ArtsPrep program offerings will be added to meet the needs of our students as they arise. Our commitment is to develop our students into “competent craftsmen’ who have the opportunity to fully realize their talent at whatever level they choose.

ArtsPrep Program Description
In each of the four disciplines of the ArtsPrep program, students will be provided with age-appropriate instruction of college level quality. Students who begin their training with ArtsPrep will be guided to take classes/lessons that will develop their skills through a progressive curriculum.
Every term will conclude with a public recital that will showcase the work of each student. This provides our students with the opportunity to perform before their families and peers, and gives an incentive to practice on a regular basis. At various points along the path of their training, students will be provided with an opportunity to advance to a higher level of instruction. Through instructor recommendation and/or interview and auditions, qualified students will be allowed to move into the next level of training in their discipline.
The culmination of the training comes in the various High School ensembles, designed to fully prepare our top students to enter a college or conservatory of their choosing. Students who advance to this level will be guided to begin their college career while still in High School through the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program (PSEOP). PSEOP allows qualified High School students to take college level courses while still in High School for low or potentially no cost.
Summer Session runs June 12 - August 8, 2010
